Registered Nurse

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Whole Health care that focuses on the whole person and will assist in creating a personalized, proactive and patient-driven experience. The pain RN will also participate in the development and implementation of performance improvement monitors to support activities to improve the overall quality of care delivery. The incumbent reports to the Nurse Manager, Specialty Clinics Daytona. The Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Pain clinic:
Applies the nursing process to systems or processes to improve care; Demonstrates leadership by involving others in improving care; Supports and enhances client self-determination; Serves as a resource for clients and staff in resolving ethical issues; Identifies and assesses resource utilization and safety issues taking appropriate action; Acquires knowledge and skills to maintain expertise in areas of practice; Participates in educational activities to improve clinical knowledge and enhance role performance; Evaluates practice of self and others using professional standards, relevant statutes, and regulations, and takes action to improve performance; Uses the group process to identify, analyze, and resolve care problems; Educates colleagues and/or students and serves as a preceptor and/or mentor; Initiates/participates in quality improvement active Uses a body of research to validate and/or change work group practice; Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Triage and coordinate all aspects of a very busy clinic flow, minimizing provider interruptions Manage all aspects of scheduling, preparing and implementing Whole Health Pain School sessions Perform thorough patient screenings (vital signs, comprehensive medication reconciliation, past medical history, social history, history of present illness, chief complaint, allergies) and relay pertinent information to providers Monitor and respond to all clinic alerts, HAS scheduling needs, secure messages, and patient phone calls, minimizing provider interruptions Review provider's schedule in advance assessing for any errors and work with HAS staff to resolve, while minimizing provider interruptions Actively participate in morning clinic huddles and provide pertinent information Maintain adequate supplies in provider's exam room, assist with setting up and breaking down after procedures and assist during procedures as needed (TPI, Botox for migraines, Scar Infiltration, Acupuncture). Coordinate follow up appointments Collaborate with PACT teams Provide Whole Health education to Veterans and their family members/significant others with a focus on self-management, prevention and wellness-based patient goals. Demonstrate competency to perform procedures and use equipment competently Use critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial and emotional needs. Develop and implement individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care Participate in activities that promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, family members, visitors, and members of the interdisciplinary team Participate in professional development and process improvement activities Perform other departmental duties as assigned Work Schedule:

Qualifications:
US Citizenship Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education - formerly the NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the US or in the District of Columbia. ACLS certification required. Preferred Experience/
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Previous experience with chronic non-malignant pain management, complementary and Integrative Heath Care (CIH) and Whole Health are preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of Pain Clinic nursing experience with demonstrated sound judgment, nursing process and critical thinking skills preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree. Reference:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
