Registered Nurse Primary Care

The Orlando VA Medical Center is seeking two Registered Nurses (RN) to work in our Daytona Beach clinic location and participate in the assessment, plan and care for our veteran patients seeking treatment at the Primary Care Clinic. The RN uses sound clinical judgment in assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating nursing care. He/she provides a full range of nursing care to clients with complex care needs, assuming responsibility and accountability for nursing actions and completes initial assessments and reassessments of client condition and response to treatment and other clinical findings. The role includes but is not limited to:
utilizing the nursing process to assess, coordinate, facilitate, and deliver nursing care to patients utilizing the outpatient clinics/services; and formulating an interdisciplinary plan of care and documenting assessments, interventions, and referrals in the computerized patient record system. This RN will also participate in the development and implementation of performance improvement monitors to support activities to improve the overall quality of care delivery. This RN will report directly to the Nurse Manager of Primary Care. Work Schedule:
Normal work days/hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:
00 AM to 4:
30 PM, with work day/hours flexibility required as patient care needs require. Position Requirements/
Qualifications:
US Citizen; Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); Current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the US or in the District of Columbia; A minimum of three (3) years of successful hospital-based clinical practice in a Medical/Surgical, ICU, Emergency Department or Ambulatory Care setting highly desirable. Previous PACT experience highly desired; Demonstrated ability in previous assignments to make critical decisions in stressful environments; Demonstrated dependability for duty and flexibility in work assignments and hours in previous assignments. Preferred
Experience:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; National certification in Ambulatory Care or Medical/Surgical Nursing is preferred. Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
