Qualifications
You will be responsible for:
Coordinates monthly closing for specific hospital, entity or department. (General Ledger)
Assists with closing the ledgers each month and at year-end, i.e., preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, reconciling balance sheet accounts. (General Ledger)
Responsible for insuring that monthly regulatory, corporate, and internal deadlines are achieved. (General Ledger)
Assists Market Accounting Manager with preparation and accuracy of monthly internal financial statements for all Market hospitals. (General Ledger)
Reconcile assigned bank and investment accounts to the General Ledger on a monthly basis. (Cash)
Reconciles and records donations/grants for hospitals on a monthly basis. (Cash)
Responsible for reconciling detail subsidiary ledger records to General Ledger on a monthly basis, including any CIP projects. (PPE)
Administers physical inventory of property and equipment, and assists with annual OR inventory. (PPE)
Maintain capital budget records and prepares monthly capital expenditure report (CER) (PPE)
Assists Market Accounting Manager with preparation of schedules of documentation for auditors. (Audit & Tax Returns)
Assists Market Accounting Manager with documentation needed to prepare income tax returns (Audit & Tax Returns)
Review and preparation annually of real estate and tangible property tax returns. (Audit & Tax Returns)
Prepares monthly sales tax returns. (Audit & Tax Returns)
Reconciles audit and tax returns to internal documents. (Audit & Tax Returns)
Assists with budget preparation: i.e. Fixed Assets and depreciation expense, department budget, etc
Reviews and researches questions from Market hospitals department Directors/Managers relating to monthly responsibility reports. Reclassification entries made as necessary. (General Ledger)
Assists Market Accounting Manager with day-to-day operations, when necessary(General Ledger)
Handles special projects and other duties as assigned or as needed.
What will you need?
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to perform complex mathematical and accounting processes; ability to maintain accurate and detailed records; in particular using spreadsheets; analytical reasoning and problem solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Mental effort in multi-tasking complex calculations, interpretation of policies and procedures, GAAP and the ability to meet monthly close deadlines.
Minimum of three-five years responsible full-time work related experience in accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required as well as additional knowledge in an accounting specialization such as Healthcare.
Certified Public Accountant license preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
