Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
o Set Up, and operate transfer molding presses according to procedures.
o Responsible for dimensional and quality requirements of components.
o Responsible for keeping the Work area and equipment Safe, Clean, and Organized.
o Must wear PPE at all times and assure all employees and visitors adhere to Safety guidelines and procedures.
o Must communicate with ME's and planners daily to assure routers and schedules are accurate.
o Proactively identify and implement ways to reduce set up times and then communicate such that routers and schedules reflect the improvements.
o Play an active role in regards to Lean processes by working and communicating with Planning, Quality, Peers, and Engineering to identify and implement ways to improve flow to increase throughput.
o Perform other related duties as assigned
Education &
Experience:
o High School Diploma or GED
o 1-3 years experience in molding operations
o Experience in an Engineer-to-order atmosphere a plus
o Experience, Training, and understanding of lean Manufacturing Principles a plus
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
o Proven ability to read and understand blueprints
o Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
o Commitment to high quality standards and continuous improvements
o Well Organized and multi tasked self starter
o Strong verbal interpersonal skills
o Ability to stand for long periods of time
o Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
o Planned and unplanned overtime
