Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
oCreate and maintain programs for CNC equipment, using the most effective metal removal rates to increase efficiency while optimizing tool life.
oDeliver new and revised programs to the Machine Shop on time in accordance to the production schedule.
oCommunicate effectively with machinists, supervisors and engineers to ensure the successful implementation of CNC programs.
oTake direction from, and support, the Components Process Engineer to drive productivity improvements throughout the shop.
oWitness process/program validation and correct as required.
oAssist in the design, development and maintenance of tools and fixtures.
oSupport Lean Manufacturing by understanding, analyzing and streamlining machining processes.
oImprove product machining practices with standard tool packages through new development and/or use of proven cutting methods. Proactively communicate changes to all shop employees.
oWork with manufacturing engineering to standardize component features from a design and manufacturability aspect.
oAssure that your working environment is safe for you and fellow employees.
oMaintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company.

Education and
Experience:
oHigh School Diploma AS, BA, BS in related field is desirable
oFive years minimum of CNC programming and machine operation experience
oConversational and EIA code knowledge for multi-axis CNC equipment
oWorking experience with Solidworks, Camworks, Mastercam and Camlink software
oExperience cutting multiple materials, (Titanium, Stainless, Inconel, Plastics)
oBackground or experience in Electronics and or Fiber Optics
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
oJourneyman machinist a plus
oProven knowledge and understanding of CNC equipment and programming languages
oProven project management skills (Well Organized and Multitasked, Self starter)
oProven knowledge of metal cutting tools and techniques
oWorking knowledge of MS Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
oStrong interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal
oProfessional appearance and behavior
oPrevious experience in Engineer-to-order, Make-to-Order company
oBasic Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques
Physical Demands:
oOccasional Lifting up to 50 pounds
oDaily telephone/computer usage
