Production / Electrical Tech
TRC Staffing Services is currently hiring for a Production / Electrical Technician - 1st and 2nd Shift Available
in the Daytona Beach area.
Job Overview: Acquire skills necessary to assemble complex electrical connectors and/or jumpers per drawings and attached documentation to meet customer specifications. With senior level technician input, troubleshoot and repair to component level to ensure quality of deliverable product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
o Assemble components to top level assembly per drawing and procedures.
o Test and troubleshoot using optical and electrical test equipment to verify functionality of completed assemblies.
o Recommend process improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality and employee safety.
o Actively participate in team problem solving methods for product quality enhancements.
o Learn entry-level material transactions and labor reporting on MRP planning system.
o Learn optical polishing techniques, both machine and manual.
o Communicate written and verbal technical issues to management and engineering for problem resolution.
o Must be flexible to operate in multiple departments and rapidly changing work environments.
Education & Experience
o High School Diploma or GED
o Some experience in handling optical fiber preferred.
o Experience in the use of electrical test equipment to perform DC Resistance and Insulation Resistance measurements.
o Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing.
o Proficient in soldering techniques and certification to J standards.
o Computer Literate- proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, ERP/MRP (helpful)
o Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
o Ability to read drawings and follow build procedures to completion of job.
o Must be a team player.
Physical Demands
o Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
o Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
o Planned and unplanned overtime
