CNC Machinist

Looking for an individual with a strong background in CNC turning
Looking for a self-motivated well experienced person with CNC turning experience, including but not limited to: multi axis dual spindle mill turn centers and swiss screw machines. Looking for someone that could supervise several people in the turning department along with keep up with production needs. Pay based on experience.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Create and maintain programs for CNC equipment, using the most effective metal removal rates to increase efficiency while optimizing tool life.
o Deliver new and revised programs to the Machine Shop on time in accordance to the production schedule.
o Communicate effectively with machinists, supervisors and engineers to ensure the successful implementation of CNC programs.
o Take direction from, and support, the Components Process Engineer to drive productivity improvements throughout the shop.
o Witness process/program validation and correct as required.
o Assist in the design, development and maintenance of tools and fixtures.
o Support Lean Manufacturing by understanding, analyzing and streamlining machining processes.
o Improve product machining practices with standard tool packages through new development and/or use of proven cutting methods. Proactively communicate changes to all shop employees.
o Work with manufacturing engineering to standardize component features from a design and manufacturability aspect.
o Assure that your working environment is safe for you and fellow employees.
o Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company.
Education and Experience Required:
o Five years minimum of CNC programming and machine operation experience
o code knowledge for multi-axis CNC equipment
o Working experience with Solidworks and CAM software
o Experience cutting multiple materials
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Journeyman machinist a plus
o Proven knowledge and understanding of CNC equipment and programming languages
o Proven project management skills (Well Organized and Multitasked, Self starter)
o Proven knowledge of metal cutting tools and techniques
o Working knowledge of MS Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
o Strong interpersonal communication skills -- written and verbal
o Professional appearance and behavior
o Previous experience in Engineer-to-order, Make-to-Order company
o Basic Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniquesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
