New Product Development Quality Engineer - Technology Enablement Company (Daytona Beach, FL)

Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive product/system improvements.
Create and implement in-process controls on manufacturing lines.
Lead Failure Investigation Teams, including co-ordination, assisting with documentation and communicating final resolution of root cause and corrective actions.
Review and approve system procedures and processes.
Investigate quality problems and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct risk assessments to determine priority and level of actions.
Review and approve assigned Engineering Changes and ensure implementation.
Participate in Internal Audit program as auditor when called upon.
Participate in internal and supplier audits and approvals as required.
Participate in customer audits as required.
Maintain metrics for quality system monitoring, including monthly scorecard.
Analyze data and drive improvements.
Establish and maintain relationships with key customers.
Train personnel as required.
Perform assigned special projects as required.
Job Requirements:
Education and
Experience:
Minimum BS degree in a technical discipline; BSEE/ME preferred, MS preferred.
Minimum 5-8 years experience in an ISO manufacturing environment; electrical/optics or regulated industries preferred.
ASQ certifications highly desired; examples:
CQE/CRE/CQM/CQA/RABQSA.
Experience with lean manufacturing highly desired Demonstrated ability to improve quality, cost, and delivery goals Experience with ISO9001, metrology/inspection tools and methods In-depth Problem Solving/Root Cause analysis Proven Design for manufacturability experience Risk analysis (FMEA/FTA) Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead teams and influence decisions based on facts and process thinking.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience and demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook or equivalent.
Experience and basic understanding of MRP/ERP manufacturing systems.
Working knowledge of data mgmt systems and statistical tools.
Product lifecycle mindset Experience in defense or oil gas industries a plus Understanding of Supply Chain Management.

Light physical effort equal to occasional movement of ODI product or documentation Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk throughout the facility Work Environment:
This position requires periods of working behind a desk, performing tasks on computer.
Significant periods of standing or walking throughout the facility to interface with other associates.
