Job Posting Category Accounting/Finance City Daytona Beach Country United States Job Description Primary responsibility is to establish a Business Partnership with Sales, Marketing, Operations and the Financial Analysts in order to enhance operating profits through strategic pricing analysis.
This position will need to first review the process to administer pricing in the system.
Intermediate and long-term objectives will be to enhance the entire pricing structure of MCS in order to maximize profitability.
Responsibilities:
Initial focus is to review the entire price maintenance process Make recommendations and lead implementation of modifications to price maintenance process to ensure both a lean process and one that allows for measurement of price movement.
Intermediate focus on Strategic Pricing opportunities that will drive significant enhancements to Operating Income Establish measurement and reporting capabilities to ensure targets are being achieved Long-Term focus on Strategic Pricing analysis to result in future recommendations of enhancements to pricing for all existing products based on:
Logical price progressions around products and 'good, better, best' selling opportunities.
Assist in coordinating review of promotional programs, rebates and pricing strategies to support maximizing value to MCS.
On-Going Focus Integrate Strategic Pricing into the New Product/Service Development process.
Establish and sustain a procedure to continuously review and adjust Strategic Pricing based on changing competitive landscape.
Assist with the price maintenance process for new customers, new products, promotions, price increases, etc.
Proactively seek out alternative pricing strategies in Channels and Product Lines through price increases to drive OI or price decreases to drive volume.
Ad-hoc projects and analysis / other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or other related field.
Five or more years of pricing analysis experience, preferably in a service environment.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and databases.
Excellent analytical and problems solving skills.
Must possess a sense of urgency.
Ability to interact with all levels of associates and work in a team-oriented environment with a service attitude.
Must be willing to embrace change and able to implement change.
Good planning and organizations skills combined with strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be dependable and trustworthy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
