Summary:
As a Workday Accounting Specialist supporting our Workday implementation project in Daytona Beach, you will play a pivotal role in the successful deployment of Workday's HR and Financial Management modules.
You will work closely with the implementation team to ensure the integration of accounting processes and best practices into the Workday system.
This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, Workday software, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key
Responsibilities:
Workday Implementation:
Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday's HR and Financial Management modules with a focus on accounting-related functionalities.
Data Migration:
Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure accurate data migration and transformation from existing systems to Workday, including financial data.
Integration:
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate accounting processes and workflows seamlessly into the Workday system.
Financial Reporting:
Design, configure, and test financial reports and dashboards within Workday to support management and decision-making during and after the implementation.
Training and Documentation:
Develop and deliver training materials to end-users and stakeholders on accounting processes within the Workday system.
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting-related functions.
Change Management:
Support change management efforts related to accounting processes and ensure smooth adoption of Workday across the organization.
Data Validation:
Ensure data accuracy and consistency in Workday by conducting regular audits, reconciliations, and data validation checks.
Issue Resolution:
Troubleshoot and resolve accounting-related issues and discrepancies during the implementation phase.
Compliance:
Ensure that accounting processes in Workday align with relevant accounting standards and regulations, including tax requirements specific to Florida.
Post-Implementation Support:
Provide ongoing support and assistance to accounting and finance teams post-implementation, addressing any system-related issues or optimizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is a plus.
Prior experience in accounting or financial roles, with exposure to Workday software and previous involvement in Workday implementation projects.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Workday Financial Management modules.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing project priorities.
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools.
