301 Memorial Medical Parkway Daytona Beach, FL 32117 The role you'll contribute:
The Radiation Oncology office nurse demonstrated a cancer specific knowledge base and clinical expertise in cancer care to provide nursing care to patients receiving Radiation Therapy under the direction of the physician and/or nurse manager in compliance with established standards and protocols of the practice and Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center goals and objectives.
The value you'll bring to the team:
o Provides safe and effective patient care under direction of the physician and/or nurse manager.
o Escorts patients from waiting area into exam room.
Obtains and records vital signs following traditional techniques.
o Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patients presenting for care, utilizing guidelines established by Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
o Performs diagnostic and therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician.
o Documents and administers immunizations and therapeutic injections, as well as medications, under the supervision of the physician.
o Schedules patients for procedures, diagnostic testing or specialists, as directed by the physician.
o Assists physician with office procedures.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum
Qualifications:
o Active Florida RN license required or active multi-state RN license o Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
o Computer proficiency required.
o Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Oncology experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Minimum 5 years nursing experience with 1 year in Oncology preferred.
o Oncology Certification preferred.
