This is an entry level, full-time position.
This is an on-site position working three twelve hour shifts and one half day shift in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
All applicants must have a high-school diploma.
Chemistry experience and manufacturing experience is preferred.
Job-specific training will be provided to the right candidate.
Overview:
The Lab Technician Supports and facilitates daily laboratory operations; performs routine chemical conversions and distillations under the supervision of a production manager, and complies with GMP track and trace requirements and documentation.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Performs general laboratory operations, including chemical conversions and distillations according to standard operating procedures.
Documents work performed in accordance with established GMP protocols; compiles data into lab reports Prepares samples for analysis Performs routine daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of laboratory instruments and workspace Assistance in packaging and shipping of orders Reviews SOPs and guidance documents to ensure all procedures accurately reflect laboratory practices Maintains appropriate sample custody, control, and hazardous waste disposal Maintain safety standards with adequate PPE use and safe handling of potentially hazardous materials.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned General
Qualifications:
o Ability to operate laboratory equipment and adhere to written SOP's.
Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
o Experience in a manufacturing environment o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Ability to work well in a team environment o Strong math skills and ability to perform basic calculations.
o Good writing and documentation skills Good attention to detail Education Requirement:
High School diploma or GED Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including MS Word and Excel Good verbal and written communication skills Experience working in a laboratory setting or working with hazardous chemicals preferred Job Type:
